Tomorrow Well Have Rabbit Feet; Cloning
I am not sure where I'm at with this subject of cloning, it sounds a bit cheesy to me; you know the old saying: something smells in Denmark. It kind of reads like this in my mind, confused mind, or maybe not so confused, maybe the world is wrong and I am right, any how it goes like this: let's kill an infant, why not, we do a million of them abortions a year that way, anyhow; now that we've legalized this, let's use some of it for fish bate. "No, no?no!" says the laboratory man (or woman), "?you've got it all wrong!" I knew that was coming. They always say that, and ten years down the road they modify. I mean, today it's absolutely right, tomorrow they say: "Well, we just didn't know back then?!" In reality, we knew a million or so people knew because most likely, they were screaming it, but others were screaming louder, and no one heard.
Ok, let's start all over. The laboratory embryonic stem cell expert says:
"We've (we've meaning: whoever is paying their wages) got to keep it fresh in the refrigerators"; you mean, refrigerators are now incubators? You know the kind we used to keep babies in. But of course these are not near babies yet.
It seems to me like the experts in this cloning area, are becoming politicians, theologians; along with the laboratory embryonic stem cell experts. I mean, we are just talking about microscopic human eggs I think; now she opens the membrane and out fly's creation: she used the lost needle in the hay stack, I think-now found. So now we got human cells, what happened to Darwin's theory (or way?) Everyone's in a hurry can't wait for a billion years to grow a longer nose or fins out of your armpits. I suppose I should not be so critical, but all these folks on TV and in the paper are so damn serious about this great discover. I mean they are showing how great it could be for the sick now. Don't any of us want to die anymore? I mean, I think it's a great thing death, without it, we'd be suffocated with a lot of body stink. I suppose I should stick to poetry, this area is a little trigger happy for me. It gets on my bad side.
To be quite honest, I think God's plan for death is as good as his plan is for life. We wake up and look at the birds and bee, and we go to sleep and dream about them. I have always woken up, so I assume when I die, I'll wake up to something different. I suppose it is fear of the unknown that everyone is afraid of: you know what I mean, we are all wondering if we have displeased the big man upstairs. Or how much crap did we get away with; or how much more do we want to continue to get away with it. So let's clone to death. Don't get too up set over this, it is just an opinion, what do I know about this; about as much as everyone else, and to me it smells.
Now we got human DNA mixed with artificial cells. The cracked eggs can now be used for shopping bags or billfolds, just like pigskin in the slaughter houses; and I've worked in them slaughterhouses; everything must be used you know. Soon we will order custom made cells soon, in the name of somatic cell nuclear transfers or something like that (SCNT).
This process is starting out like abortion did thirty-years ago. That is, at one time it was a mortal sin to have an abortion, now you are cursed if you don't accept it as a norm. Tomorrow stem-cell, and in five years, we will have rabbet feet, dog ears, and no bellybutton?it will be a hell of a job just trying to balance our heads on our skinny little necks.
This is just an article or opinion by an author and poet that has too many of them sometimes...!
?So? Which One Do I Use Doctor? Heat or Ice?
Heat has long been used to provide temporary relief of arthritis pain, and is used in many different forms. Contrast baths, whirlpools, electric pads, microwaveable gel packs, hydrocollator packs, infrared lamps, and hot showers are some of the different techniques used. Even warm tap water probably will meet some of your needs for heat therapy at home.
Thimerosal: Autism and Mercury Poisoning Side Effects?
Thimerosal is a preservative that is added to vaccines (has been since the 1930s) that is almost half (49.6% by weight) mercury. Preservatives are added to vaccines to prevent bacteria and fungi from growing. These vaccines include antivenins, skin test antigens, ophthalmic and nasal products. Thimerosal preserved vaccines have been given to children as well as adults.
Stopping Hospital Infections
Each year hospitals end up killing twice as many people than automobiles, some 90,000 deaths in the United States. It is not from malpractice, it is due to infections. Hospital infections affect over 2 million patients every year. Scientists are working to prevent these infections one of the newest innovations is silver nano-particles. Microscopic anti-microbial coated nano-particles would be used to keep the infections at bay. Tools used in surgery would be coated with these particles, along with perhaps rubber gloves. One of the companies working on this scheme is AcryMed, which makes surgical devices in Portland, Oregon.

New Antidepressant Developments and Approvals
New antidepressant development, until fairly recently, was at best a random, and at worst a problematic and frustrating, process. Often, medications that were developed for one thing were discovered quite accidentally to have much more important therapeutic effects for a completely different disorder. It has been well described that some of the original antipsychotics were originally developed to assist in anesthesia, and some of the original new antidepressants were originally intended to be medications for tuberculosis or psychosis. New antidepressant development was done on a "chemical" basis; that is, guesses were made as to compounds that would be safe and effective based on chemical structures of established medications. This was very much a trial-and-error process, since very little was known about how these drugs worked and very little could be measured beyond actually giving them to a patient.
The Controversy of ViagraŽ (Sildenafil Citrate), Other ED Medications, and Their Generic Counterpart
There has definitely been a good deal of controversy over ViagraŽ, it's use and more recently, it's side effects among some unfortunate patients however, apart from the specific drug itself and the effects, reasons and results of it's use, there has been another controversy of which only those involved would probably be aware. I am referring to the purchase and use of Generic Brands of Sildenafil Citrate.
The Cox-2 Prescription Painkillers Are Back?

Bextra Withdrawal Could Be Just the Beginning for Pfizer
The pharmaceutical industry is a tremendously profitable one, as anyone who reads the business pages of their newspaper can see. Although it can take years to develop a new drug and bring it to market, the profits obtained from a breakthrough drug can be staggering. Last year Merck sold about $2.5 billion worth of Vioxx, and Pfizer sold about $1.3 billion worth of Bextra. The profits are huge, but so are the losses if a problem should develop with a pharmaceutical product. Pfizer voluntarily withdrew the popular anti-inflammatory drug Bextra from the market last month, and their stock has suffered from both the loss of sales and the potential for a large number of product liability lawsuits. Pfizer may have to endure a double whammy this year as the FDA announced that they are investigating reports that the impotence drug Viagra may be linked to cases of blindness in male users. Cialis and Levitra were also mentioned in the report, although most of the cases involved the use of Viagra. The FDA reports shouldn't cause alarm; the agency says that it is investigating fewer than 50 incidents of blindness in patients who use a drug that has been used by more than twenty million people since its introduction seven years ago. The FDA investigation says less about the likelihood of blindness in patients than it does about the agency's own concerns about its reputation. The FDA rightly insists upon rigorous testing of drugs before they reach the market in the name of public safety. But that coin has two sides, and there are those who say that the agency is too quick to approve potentially dangerous drugs and others who say that the agency's testing isn't thorough enough. Adding fuel to the fire are the recent memos obtained from Merck employees that suggest that the company was aggressively marketing Vioxx even though their sales staff knew the drug was potentially dangerous. There may be no link between Viagra and blindness at all, as the form of sudden blindness alleged to have been caused by Viagra use is common to the sorts of patients who have erectile disfunction. The FDA is just being cautious, as they should be. Further tests will determine if there is an actual link. The party likely to suffer immediately is Pfizer, as stockholders, already concerned about Bextra lawsuits, drove the stock price lower immediately upon the release of the Viagra news. Sales will probably decrease, too, as patients who are now accustomed to reading about drugs being withdrawn from the market may shy away from the product until further tests are done. That could present a huge income for Pfizer, as they currently sell about $2 billion worth of Viagra each year. The drug business is a profitable one, but like any business, comes with risks. This year, it would seem that Pfizer is getting a double dose of bad medicine.
Bextra and Vioxx Withdrawal Spawn Advertising Pause from Bristol Myers
Pharmaceutical giant Bristol Myers Squibb has announced that they will suspend direct-to-consumer advertising for their prescription drug products for a year. This comes in the wake of the well-publicized withdrawals of Merck's Vioxx and Pfizer's Bextra, two non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) that were voluntarily withdrawn from the market recently. Studies showed that they increase the likelihood of strokes and heart attacks among patients that take them for prolonged periods of time. This represents an unusual move for a pharmaceutical company, as they tend to spend a large portion of their annual advertising budget on direct-to-consumer advertising.
